Lawrence lost 114 pounds!
In April 2005 I weighed 270 pounds. This morning I
weighed 156 pounds. After years of playing diet roulette
I came to realize that unless I took my eating disorder
seriously and made some permanent life changes I was
undoubtedly threatening my quality of life, if not my very
life itself. Armed with only a sincere desire to change,
the knowledge that I was battling a food addiction and a
strong conviction that God could help me if I would let
Him, I started making small changes in May 2005. I
decided not to try and lose more weight than I could
maintain, so I set realistic goals. I kept a daily food
journal, limited myself to three balanced meals per day,
and removed my trigger foods from my diet (in my case
salty-crunchy foods). I did old-fashioned
calorie-counting, budgeting my food "expenditures" to
maximize my enjoyment. I restricted myself to between
1,600-1,800 calories per day during the week, and
2,000-2,200 on the weekends, and ended up shedding 114
pounds in just under 18 months time.
Today I feel like a new woman, and my family and friends
are rejoicing with me. Thank you Pizza Fit'n Free for
creating a delicious, healthy product to help those of us
who earnestly struggle against obesity.
